Educators: How to assign and review Next Step Plans

Learn how to access, assign, and monitor Next Step Plans for your students through the Level All Dashboard.

Updated this week

Overview

Next Step Plans are grade-level-specific plans within Level All that help students reflect on and plan for their academic and career goals. As an educator, you can assign these plans to your students and track their progress toward completion.

Accessing Next Step Plans

Next Step Plans are managed through your Level All Dashboard. To access them, log in to Level All and navigate to your Dashboard. From the Dashboard, open the "Career and Academic Plans" menu. You'll find available Next Step Plans listed there, along with options to track progress and assign them to students.

Can't find your Next Step Plans?
If you do not see the "Career and Academic Plans" option in your Dashboard menu, or if the menu appears but no Next Step Plans are listed, please contact newmexico@levelall.com. Include your school name and the email address you are using to access Level All so the team can get your account set up correctly.

Assigning Next Step Plans

From the Career and Academic Plans menu, select the appropriate Next Step Plan for your students' grade level and assign it. Once assigned, students will be able to access the plan from the "My Plan" section of their homepage or through their email invitation.

Reviewing Student Progress

After plans have been assigned, you can return to the Career and Academic Plans menu to view student completion status. This allows you to see which students have started or submitted their plans and follow up with those who may need a reminder.

  • Checking progress: You can review current progress at any time by clicking "Track Progress" for a given plan and searching for email of the student in question.

  • Approving plans: You will receive an email once a plan you've assigned is available for approval. If a plan was assigned by another educator on your behalf, you will be able to access and approve the plan after parent approval from the Track Progress menu.

Troubleshooting

If you're having trouble accessing or managing Next Step Plans, try these steps:

  • Verify your login. Make sure you are logged in with the correct school email associated with your Level All account. Permissions to access these plans are only granted for accounts included in your school or district's directory sync with Level All; logging in with a personal email or a version of your email not included in the sync fill will prevent you from viewing Next Step Plans.

  • Check the Career and Academic Plans menu. Next Step Plans are only accessible through the Dashboard's "Career and Academic Plans" menu, not the Dashboard's Assignments feature. If you don't see this menu option, or if no plans appear within it, contact newmexico@levelall.com with your school name and the email address you use to log in to Level All.

If you're still having trouble, reach out to your school's Level All administrator for additional support.
