Level All and the Next Step Plan

Learn how Level All is supporting the Next Step Plan statewide in New Mexico.

Our partnership with NMPED was designed to streamline the Next Step Plan (NSP) process for all students in New Mexico.

Here are some of the capabilities of Plans:

  • For Students: We guide you through each section of the NSP—from goal-setting to next-year planning. When complete, request digital approval from your educator and guardian, all within the platform.

  • For Educators: Assign NSPs, monitor progress live, edit entries, and approve with a digital signature.

  • For Administrators: Add your district’s course catalog, track NSP completion across schools, and export data for easy reporting.

  • For Guardians: Activate your account and review your student’s NSP with the ability to digitally sign off.

Assigning the Plan

  • Through a Group: Navigate to the Plans tab and assign to your entire group or a subset of students.

  • Through the Plans > Assign page: Filter and select the students you’d like to assign to, then assign the plan.

  • Unassigning Plans: Select students and click the unassign button. If you mistakenly Unassigned a plan, don't worry, the student's progress is saved. Simply reassign the plan and the student can pick up where they left off.

Tracking Progress

  • Navigate to the Plans page or to a Group, then select a plan to view progress.

  • There are two different progress views:

    • Summary view: Quickly see the status of students.

    • Detailed view: See exactly where a student is in their plan.

  • Educator Preview: On the Plan progress page, click the Preview button to preview the plan.

Reviewing and Approving Individual Plans

  • The progress tracking tables will show a “Review” button when student plans are ready for your approval.

  • Click “Review” to be taken to the individual student's plan summary page, where you can review a student's plan, then request changes or approve the plan.

  • Parent/Guardian Signature: If a guardian isn’t receiving approval request emails, a signature link is available for students or educators to send directly. If you are unable to obtain a signature after 5 contact attempts, a checkbox appears to mark it as “Not obtained,” allowing you to complete the plan without a Guardian signature.

Reporting

  • Navigate to the Plans > Reports tab to export a CSV report documenting student completion.
